Mujra Night on the Terrace

A great party usually has the following ingredients:
Great Settings, Great Mood, Great Music, Great Food and not to forget Great People.

Now, the people factor remaining constant with the usual friends and cousins, I have always had this dream to organize this amazing party for some real chilled out occasion. Haven't yet had the chance to do it, but I really hope to be able to do it soon.

Here are my party ingredients -
My party would be on the roof top terrace of my house, during some pleasant weather season. The theme of the party would be a "Mujra Party", and the setting, yeah you guess it right, would be a Kotha setting.
The dress code for everyone would be Ethnic wear, like Kurta Pyjama etc.

There would be Mattresses (Gadde) arranged in a square arrangement, with enough space in between the arrangement (a smaller square) for dance.
Each of the mattresses would have thick capsule shaped pillows on them for person to lie down with support and flavored Hukkas to get the mood rolling.

Another important item required for the perfect mood would be flowers, particularly Jasmine. The flowers would be placed on all sides of the setting, but the most particular use of flowers, here, would be in the Jasmine Garlands to be wore on hands for the best mujra feeling.

Most of the light would be from Diyas, lightened and placed strategically as per the terrace layout, to get an amazing mixed effect of the darkness and the brightness of the diyas. Particularly, the area outside the mattresses would be given a hue of darkness mixed with diya lights, for an amazing effect. However, the central area would be given fairly bright lights with ethnic lamps, for people to be able to see and enjoy.

The environment would, as is obvious, be set by Mujra numbers, like - "Inhi Logon Ne", "Inn Aankhon Ki Masti", "Dil Cheez Kya Hai", "Maar Dala" etc.

Though I would definitely Love to get an actual Mujra dancer to perform, it might just invite troubles for us, if not from anywhere outside, from our own folks.
Therefore, however much I might want that or may I say We might want that, we ll have to take the center stage by ourselves and dance on our own, while the non-dancers watch and enjoy the Hukka.

Coming down to the last phase of my party plan, which is also the most important phase - Food and Drinks.
For drinks, Wine would be served liek a Jaam from the traditional Surahi and drank in similar traditional glasses. For the Sufis (non-drinkers), Sharbat would be served in a similar way.

Food, though undoubtedly the Most Important aspect of the whole evening, is not much of a headache. After all, to suit the evening the feast has gotta be Mughlai. And when talking Mughlai Food, who else but to trust the ultimate best in matters of taste - Kitchens of India.

I simply need to login and order Gourmet Products from Kitchens of India  and half the job would have already been done.
So, the food for the day would comprise of :
Dal BukharaPaneer Darbari, both prepared to perfection by Kitchens of India
and Vegetable Biryani, prepared from the Easy and Ready To Cook Vegetable Biryani Mix from Kitchens of India
The sweet dessert would offer a hard choice in the form of Jodhpuri Moong Dal Halwa and Awadhi Badam Halwa, royal desserts prepared from the finest of ingredients by Kitchens of India.

I really believe this would be One Amazing Party for all the people that would get the chance to Experience it. Everyone would have a gala time Eating the delectable dishes, Drinking and Smoking ethnically and Dancing to Mujra. Ofcourse, anyone willing to shower money would be totally welcome.

My only hope remains for this party to be able to Actually Take Place in its full glow soon....
